I am an associate professor at the University of Akron. I also teach a distance learning class for Central Michigan and Vanderbilt University.
My teaching preferences? Discussion with learners coming prepared by completing readings or other assignments.
Personally, I live in Akron, Ohio with my husband and our cat Mosley. Our son lives in Pittsburgh Ohio with his new wife, and our daughter is working in California.
My interests/hobbies are gardening, cooking and reading, ie. specifically reading cookbooks and gardening books.

She has authored four books, twelve chapters, and over 100 papers, most lately addressing the adjustment process to living with hearing loss. She is active with the American Academy of Audiology, serving as President Elect of the Board of Directors in 2009-2010
